Homeowners observed large ice chunks measuring up to 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities confirmed that different parts across Queensland had been hit with substantial ice precipitation.

Damp conditions were expected to linger along large portions of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.

The following day was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk predicted across multiple regions of both regions.
