Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Palace Win at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Despite embarking on their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity

This occasion provided a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, showing there is still room for improvement in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
